ABOUT:WHITE LANE
We, Niko and I (White Lane), grew up together in a remote, small village in southern Germany. Apart from the soccer club and a small indoor swimming pool, there weren’t many leisure activities for young people there. But we had the music. As we both played an instrument, we spent many afternoons jamming together and after a while we started writing our own songs. A small label liked two of our songs and we got a contract for two singles. But the company went bankrupt shortly before the first planned release. We both started studying, Niko in Berlin and me in Frankfurt am Main, and we lost track of each other. I wrote during my law studies songs for different labels, some of them reached the German Top 20 radio charts.
At a class reunion years later, I met Niko again and we decided to give music another try. We wrote new songs, offered them to some labels and got a record deal. We are currently working on an album that is due to be released by our new record company at the end of the year. ”Get out of my dreams” is the first single from it.
Song info
I wrote the song ”Get out of my dreams”,
after I was left by a girl. I tried to process the pain of separation and the feeling of being lost in the song. As far as the arrangement was concerned, we didn’t want a classic, slow ballad accompaniment. We wanted a contrast. We worked with dance and electro beats and finally, after a month of hard work and many discussions, the song was finally finished.
