The ’80s wave sound has made a return, and The Joyride is right at the forefront of the synth-pop revival. Their use of synths and drum machines combined with their infectious enthusiasm captures ”About You Now” in a way that pays homage to the original while making it exciting for a new generation.

The Joyride are a synthpop duo, formed at Edge Hill University by bedroom producers Felix & Justin.

With inspirations from The Human League, a-ha, The 1975 and The Midnight, The Joyride’s tracks are interweaved sounds of euphoric-jumping melodies, epic 80’s drums, jangly pop guitars, and layers of lush vocals. Transporting you back to the distinct 80s era, whilst remaining true to the modern pop culture.
