SUBAJAH
Subajah returns with a ”roar” for his second album, ”Lion”, a 10-track Roots Reggae gem in the continuation of his first critically acclaimed album”, Architect”. Still marked with his distinctive and unique sound, Subajah and his ”Architects Band” deliver another masterpiece, played live with their distinguishable feel. To produce this new project, Subajah collaborates with the talented producer and musical director First Eye and the Architects Band’s new member, Don Chandler, Grammy award winner producer and bass player who collaborated with Subajah on a few tracks. We firstly travelled to the middle of the African Savannah with the fiery track ”Lion”, a hit song that transports us on a sensational musical journey. Still as versatile and passionate, Subajah showed different paths to his original musical world. We can dance smoothly to the sound of ”Happiness Remembers”, ”Rock Easy”, and ”Love is Still Around”, as well as meditate to the depth of System Overload and Cornerstone, an acoustic spiritual Nyabinghi song.
Like Survival, his explosive duet with Ijah, EQ and Crisis call for equality and justice. Closing with Lioness, a dub version of Lion blessed by the sound of Sarah Tobias on saxophone, this album offers another classic Reggae Album written down his history.
