ABOUT: PIERO BRUNETTI
Piero Brunetti has been immersed in music from a young age, eventually studying music composition and production at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg, Germany. He began his career as an author and composer signed to Polydor, releasing his first single, ”Come Stai,“ in 1988 on BMP Records. In 1994, he released a techno track called ”Acido” under the pseudonym Tandú on Noom Records, which became a famous club hit in Europe. He then co-founded the Eurodance project Taboo with Nico Dee in 1995, achieving success with the single ”I Dream of You Tonight.”
In 1996, Brunetti released ”Another World” as DJ Pierro, combining trance and dance sounds with saxophone elements. The single was a worldwide club hit, reaching the top 10 in Switzerland and remaining in the charts for 8 and 12 weeks, respectively. The following year, he co-wrote and co-produced ”Oh La La La” with the Eurodance project 2 Eivissa, which reached the top 10 in the UK and Canada and topped the charts in Spain and Italy. He also worked as a remixer and DJ, performing in Ibiza and Germany until the beginning of 2000.
In the 2000s, Brunetti was a co-producer and arranger on Hamburg’s rock-pop and pop music projects. In 2007, he moved to Berlin and took a break from music production to focus on DJing in the tech-house and techno genres. In 2022, he returned to music production and is now back on track with new music.
