”Essence Of Soul” through Aila’s voice and lyrics, talks about going deep into our mind, trying to perceive and feel every feeling of it. It is a musical journey conceived by Jojo Amato, between funk, soul and a hint of acid jazz. At one point, the sound of the didgeridoo, played by Simon Hardt, bursts in, creating a portal to enter and go even deeper into our minds. The brass, played by Hector Rosso, in the final part of the song, heralds the success of it all, motivating us to feel ourselves every day.

Jojo Amato, bass player and producer from Italy, plays with the guitarist Riki Massini and Clive Bunker, the renowned drummer of Jethro Tull, with several tours in the north of Europe.

In 2022 in addition to this project he decides to produce original Soul/Funk music with the collaboration of the artist Aila.

I am a musical artist who explores expressions of versatility between different genres. The music I create through sound and experiences describe my experience as Aila. Music brings me everything above and below the sun. It’s a way to hear, and feel fun amongst a variety of different things. I’m based in the beautiful upstate New York and am thankful for my family whom I draw inspiration from and others who have curiously looked towards the stars whilst traveling on the unknown whimsical path of music.
