Dan Lately
Artist bio: Dan Lately, aged 27, is a new, upcoming LGBTQ+ artist from Sheffield in the UK. He has always had a passion for music & pop culture, but only recently garnered the courage to start making music of his own. He loves all kinds of genres from pop, hip-hop, R&B, alternative and more. His inspirations include: Doja Cat, PinkPantheress, Charli XCX, M.I.A, Megan Thee Stallion and Troye Sivan. Prize bio: Prize is a smooth, laid-back R&B track with a slight groove that focuses on the theme of never giving up on what you desire in life. Dan has always struggled with lack of self-worth and listening to others’ opinions on whether music is his true destiny, but despite this doubt the song encourages a message of always seeing something through to the end. Keeping your eye well and truly ”on the prize”. The song was inspired by Doja Cat’s ”Wine Pon You” from her Amala album and the beat was produced by Tshegofatso Lehutso (artist Tazzy).
